Waking up early Friday morning and taking a plane to spend the weekend in another city is always kind of surreal. We spent the weekend in Mendoza to experience a different Argentinian culture outside of the city. Mendoza is also a city known for being in a beautiful part of the Andes Mountains. Traveling through the mountains was an even starker difference from the city of Buenos Aires. Having no wireless service can really make one think and get in touch with nature. Spending the day like this and seeing how people have lived in the mountains like this for many years was very interesting. I love living in the big city, but a nice weekend away in the calm of a quiet town in the mountains is always a nice break. I can’t wait to see more of the different cultures that other cities in Argentina have.
