Tomorrow starts my last week in Amsterdam, and I can’t believe that it has come so quick. I know my way around Amsterdam more than I know my way around NYC, which I’ve lived next to my whole life. I feel a sense of pride now that I can confidently use all the forms of transportation in and out of a foreign city, something that at home I’ve always been intimidated to do. I find comfort in knowing that if I ever come back, I can bring whomever I’m with to my favorite place to eat, the best donut place or my favorite place to just sit and enjoy the day. Realizing that I have gotten to know and do so much in only a few weeks, it makes me want to stay longer to see what else I can learn. With my last week approaching, I realized how much I want to continue traveling and furthering my knowledge about different cultures. This experience that UD has given me is one I will always appreciate.
