Ireland: Dublin and Belfast

Submitted by Nasir Wilson on the 2018 spring semester program in Limerick, Ireland…

This week was amazing. Classes are going really well and I traveled to Dublin and Northern Ireland with Eden. We bought tickets for Dublin through University of Limerick’s International Education Division which allowed us to buy 2 tickets to/from Dublin and a ticket for the Book of Kells, among other things, for €10. Our trip to Dublin was amazing. It was nice to get a different feel of Ireland besides the scenic and rural areas that we have visited. Dublin is a great city and 50% of the population is under 25 years old, making the city a millennial haven. There was so much to do, eat, and see. It was a great change from Limerick which is beautiful, but not urban and fun like Dublin. Classes are going really well and time is flying! We’re already in our 5th week. We are quickly approaching the halfway point which is surprising! Feels like we just got here yesterday. Anyway, thankful for the opportunity to travel to Belfast and Dublin this past weekend and see more of Ireland.
