On Friday, I celebrated my birthday by flying to the island of Crete! My Uncle (who I will be spending spring break with) is staying in Crete for the week, so I met him there, and we spent the weekend exploring the island! He rented a car and we drove over many parts of the island! We went to many different beach towns and drove through many small mountain towns as well. The mountains there are very massive and the waters very blue! We ate Greek food all weekend including fresh olives, fresh warm bread from a bakery, gyros, spinach pies, potato pies, apple croissants and tangerines from a farmers market! So delicious! Overall, I had a great weekend on the beautiful Island of Crete!
