I can now say I’ve been to Ireland! It was everything I expected it to be – ridiculously green, sheep everywhere, lots of stone castles and ruins. We started out in Dublin, which I didn’t like as much as London. We walked around a bit, and went to the famous Temple Bar area. The highlight of Dublin was coming across live music at a pub-the man had the most amazing voice any of us had ever heard! The next day, we went to the Cliffs of Moher, which were terrifying to walk along – it was so slippery. They were absolutely beautiful though, and we all made it out alright. We stayed in Galway for the night where we found more live music. To finish off the trip, we went to Clonmacnoise, the ruin of a centuries old church, and the Guinness factory. The Guinness tour was much more interesting than I thought it would be – the building was more like a museum, and it takes you through all the stages of making and advertising Guinness. I am definitely going to need to go back to Ireland, one weekend wasn’t enough!
