The other day, I worked my first fashion show and then went to climb the Eiffel Tower. We were dressers for the Sean Suen menswear show. I got to dress two models and luckily they didn’t have to do quick changes so it wasn’t that stressful. Their outfits were relatively easy and they basically dressed themselves, I just had to help. The only stressful part was when one of my model’s shoes had laces and they were tough to get on because they had to be tied super tight. It also didn’t help that the shoes were a size too small, but it all worked out in the end and it was a great experience. Compared to other fashion shows, the people working at this show were very nice and helpful. They let us have some food while we were waiting and they were British so it was nice that there were no communication problems. We saw the designer Sean Suen walking back and forth backstage where we were which was cool. It was awesome because we met models from Maine and California. My models were Russian and Dutch and some of the models were only 17 and were still finishing high school.
After the fashion show ended, my friend and I walked to the Eiffel Tower and walked up 40 flights of stairs to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Unfortunately, the very top of the Eiffel Tower has been under construction so it’s been closed, but we still made it to the second floor. It took about 30 minutes, probably more, to go up. But the view was definitely worth it and we got there when the sun was setting which was extra special. It was very cold and windy up there so we couldn’t stay too long, but we got this picture to remember the climb.
