Denmark: The Streets of Copenhagen

Submitted by Jessica Prucha on the 2017 spring semester DIS (Denmark’s International Study Program) program in Copenhagen, Denmark…

This is a picture of me jumping on the trampoline in Nyhavn! The surrounding area is beautiful and I am really loving my time here. I find it very interesting that most dogs here do not walk on leashes, but just follow their owners or walk a bit ahead of them. The Danish culture has been described to me by my professors as very trusting and apparently this applies to not only humans, but dogs too! Babies can often be spotted in strollers outside of cafés, while their parents grab a drink or a bite to eat. The city is extremely safe and that has lead me to feel very comfortable early on.
