In coming to Tokyo, I really didn’t know what to expect. Most of what I’ve seen looked like Times Square, but it’s not all like that. We take the metro to travel everywhere, and that reminds me of my home in Manhattan, taking the subway everywhere. I love taking the train, and the convenience is one of the greatest things we could be around. All the tall buildings and the bright lights are beautiful and mesmerizing, they make it look like Tokyo is the big city people talk about.
Although we visited what reminded me of home, there so many other parts of Tokyo that don’t, and it looks so different from what a typical urbanized city looks like. When I think of a city, I imagine what I saw in the picture above. I’ve never imagined it to have the different elements that make it so unique. The old temples and shrines show off all the history and culture of its country, and it’s something that you can’t see just by looking at a building. Every part of the city has a different look and feeling, and I can’t wait to continue exploring to see what else there is in this beautiful city.
