This is the most exhausted I’ve been in a long time. Finishing up our 3rd week in London, we have already done so much. Throughout the week, we continued to visit different galleries and creative agencies. It has inspired me to continue creating. We’ve been to about every borough in the city as well as made it to the countryside of Kent and to Brighton Beach. Kent was lovely. We visited the headquarters of Baseline magazine that uprooted from London and nestled in the countryside. The brick mansion was over 400 years old and surrounded by beautiful gardens. Everything was so green! I fell in love with Brighton Beach. The town seemed to be frozen in the past. Bright pink and yellow carnival rides, seemingly from the 1940s, crowded the wooden pier. This almost neon mast rose into the overcast horizon. This contrast of color and organic versus mechanic was beautiful and disillusioning. The boardwalk seemed to be a cross between Coney Island and a Scandinavian fishing town. I loved the opportunity to get out of the city and experience a little more of the UK.
