This week, over the free weekend, my group and I took a trip with Discover Excursions to the beautiful Lagos area in Portugal. We took a bus there and when we arrived, I instantly noticed the unique beauty of the beaches there. We arrived, moved into our hotel, and woke up to a day of amazing scenery, first starting with a cruise, on the crystal clear Lagos waters. I was surprised to see how massive the rocks were. Afterwards, we headed to the “End of the World” which was a beautiful place with a breathtaking view of the ocean. It was given this name from the Europeans’ ignorance of America and their genuine belief that this spot was the end of the world. The next day, we took a two-hour kayak trip around Lagos, we even got to kayak under the caves!
After that weekend, the next weekend we toured Córdoba, Spain. We went through the Mezquita (mosque-cathedral), which was way bigger than expected. Córdoba had some great views, but we tried to limit the amount of time that we went outside because it was 100 degrees that day. I am now beginning my last week in Spain, which really makes me realize how time does fly. Even though I am leaving soon, I am lucky to have these sites captured forever on my phone and in my mind.
