The hardest part of being abroad is missing your closest friends and family. Luckily, a little piece of home came to Italy when my aunt, uncle and cousin came to visit me. Being homesick is very obviously a lot worse over here than in Delaware because instead of a four hour car ride home to Long Island, a very expensive plane ride would be the substitute. It was nice to get some familiar faces in Italy and to be a tour guide. Having family here also makes you realize how acquainted you are with the city. it felt good to be able to bring people around the city without a map. Though having family here was fantastic, the best part of all was the free food!
