This is a picture if Pelourinho, aka “the old city” in Salvador, Brazil. During our tour in this city, we saw and learned about many historic monuments, including the gold plated St. Francis Church, which you can see in this picture. A beautiful city filled with shops and vendors, and rich in culture, Pelourinho has an inviting atmosphere that pulls you in. Many of us returned the next day to experience more if it. We couldn’t get enough!
