Paris, France and Rome, Italy in One Weekend

Submitted by Katrina Anderson on the 2016 winter session program in London, England sponsored by the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice…

Week three was incredible. Towards the end of the week we had free time in order to travel the world, and boy was I excited for that. Before coming to London, I had not had the opportunity to travel  to different countries so when given this opportunity, I wanted to make the most of it. I decided to travel to two different countries. In order to do so, I spent a little less than a day in each country. Best decision ever. I first traveled to Paris, France where I went to the Louvre to see the Mona Lisa, toured around Notre Dame and then I went to the top of the Eiffel Tower to see the sun set! The next morning, I flew to Rome, Italy which was amazing. I walked around the city to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum.  Country hoping was eye opening because I got to experience different cultures, languages and modes of transportation. I was surprised with how confident I felt exploring these different countries and figuring my way around.Eiffel Tower Katrina Anderson 16W London CRJU sm
