Our last day in London was nothing short of perfect. Before spending the month there, a few of my friends who have previously been to London, recommended that I go on the London Eye. We decided to wait until our last night to all experience it together.
The view was absolutely incredible. We rode the London Eye just as the sun was setting so we could experience this amazing city both in the day and as it got darker. This is one of my favorite memories from my month abroad. At that moment, I reflected on how remarkable my experience was and how truly lucky I am to have been a part of such a great group.
We then ended the evening with our farewell dinner at this great restaurant on the Thames with a view of Tower Bridge – where we started our journey one month ago. It was awesome to experience Tower Bridge on the first day when we were all strangers. It was only right to end our program there.
I cannot express how important it is to delve into a different culture across the world headfirst. I was able to make some amazing friends and experience things I would have never imagined with those new friends.
