Exploring the UK: Wales

Submitted by Nina Kennedy on the 2014 spring semester study abroad program in London, England…

The beginning of this week was not the easiest- I was exhausted from traveling every weekend since the end of February and keeping up with my assignments and classes.  Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday were mainly devoted to catching up on homework, but I did get the chance to go to the Tower of London with my brother on Tuesday which was SO cool (I’m a history major, but I think anyone would find it interesting!).  Then on Thursday morning, my parents arrived!  We headed straight to Euston and got on a train headed for Wales!  We decided to be a little unconventional and go to northern Wales to a town called Llandudno.  It is a beach town and it was adorable!  Unfortunately, we didn’t have the best weather, but we made the best of it!  We went to a nearby town, Conwy, that is still inside the original castle walls (so awesome).  We got back from Wales late Saturday night after a really great weekend!  Next week, we’re headed to Scotland!
