After we left Florence, we began the treacherous journey to Venice. Although lovely, we had not been warned about the crazy amounts of flooding that happen in winter! We were awoken at 6am to an air raid alarm (from the war!) to announce the incoming tide! It was insane! We made the terrifying journey back to the mainland by water taxi and made our way to Milan, our final destination. We celebrated the first night in Milan with a lovely dinner! We are packing tonight and tomorrow begins our adventure back home!
