Classes have finally begun here at CAPA. I must admit, three hour classes are much more challenging than I anticipated. Yet, it is well worth it to have classes that meet weekly rather than daily. This past weekend, we had our first big excursion to Stonehenge and Bath. The views were absolutely breath taking and it was lovely to escape the city and travel into the countryside. To be honest, I wasn’t entirely sure what Bath was and just how much history it had to offer. I was blown away by the architecture of the Roman Baths, and exquisite details of this quaint town.
We had ample time to explore on our own so I took this opportunity to see what kind of food Bath had to offer. Our tour guide told us about Cornish Pasties. I had no idea what that was, but apparently it’s a baked pastry usually filled with a meat and vegetable medley. I was tempted to try it, but I have more of a sweet tooth, and thus decided to get a chocolate filled croissant. I did hear a few people on our tour raving about how scrumptious the pasty was, and immediately regretted my amateur decision. With my day free of classes tomorrow, I plan on going to see the famous Abby Road and think it’s about time I head back to the Camden Market for some mouth watering cuisine.
