I never thought the the second week of my study abroad could have triumphed over the first, but I was incredibly wrong! Although we left the beautiful Roma, we journeyed into the lovely Sorrento and Napoli. This gem of the Mediterranean coast overwhelmed us with incredible views and a rich history.
We spent quite some time in the archaeological museum of Naples. It was the most fascinating place I’ve ever been. I was amazed to learn that the citizens of Pompeii would wallpaper their walls and gamble with loaded die! My fascination with this city was further whetted when we went to the ancient ruins of Pompeii. In Pompeii, believe it or not, these incredible men and women had built in street reflectors, welcome mats, and beware of dog mosaics!
The food has also been impeccable. This is truly the experience of a lifetime!
