It’s only day five here in beautiful West Kensington and I am already falling in love with this city. Our flat is quaint and charming, and I’m sharing it with four amazing girls—three are from UD, and one is from the University of Tampa. The apartment is brand new and on the top floor of the building, so we have to climb exactly 78 stairs to get to it! Although we’ve experienced a few minor mishaps including four days without hot water (we had to shower next door!) and a broken washing machine, it has already been an incredible adventure.
Today, two of my roommates and I jumped at the opportunity to take an optional walking tour of Primrose Hill and Camden Market. The sights were absolutely breathtaking. At the top of Primrose Hill in Regent’s Park we saw an amazing panoramic view of central London. We then got to explore Camden Market, where vendors were selling everything from fur coats to futuristic gadgets to mouth-watering beignets. I can’t wait to go back for a serious shopping excursion!
I’m so eager to do more sightseeing in this city. This journey of a lifetime is just beginning, and I’m excited to blog every step of the way. Classes start tomorrow and I can’t wait to meet more students on the CAPA program! Ta ta for now and cheerio!
