It’s crazy to think that I have been in London for almost a month now. Time has gone by so fast. I am also proud to say that I have gotten used to getting around London. Public transport here is extremely easy to understand. There are maps posted all over the place making it very difficult to get lost.
Although I have been here for four weeks, I still feel like I have so much more to explore in London. There is honestly so much to do and see here that it is very overwhelming, but CAPA does a great job in planning events to typical tourist attractions and also to more unique places. For example, this past week I went to the Victorian Amputation Museum. The museum itself is very easy to miss since it’s in the attic of a church, but it was probably one of the most interesting museums I have ever been to. We learned about what it was like to be treated in a hospital before all the advances in medical care that we have today. The museum even had an old operating theatre where actual amputations and surgeries were performed. And to think I would have never known that museum existed! I definitely will be on the look out for more unique and not as well known attractions in London.
