Here in Paris it is museum week. We are spending the week going to different museums every day, each has their own unique style and history! We have been to the Louvre , the Conciergie, Saint Chapelle, Pompidou (Modern art museum), Invalides, Rodin, and the Arc de Triomph ! We have certainly been busy. My favorite experience was going from the Louvre , and then to Pompidou. The two styles of art are absolutely opposite, so it was refreshing to be able to view different styles. Pompidou currently has a display from Salvidor Dali. I really enjoyed seeing a few pieces by Andy Warhol at Pompidou as well! The Louvre speaks for itself- absolutely amazing and overwhelmingly large. To see everything the Louvre has would take an entire day in itself, but we did get to see many classic pieces such as the Venus de Milo and teh Mona Lisa. Climbing to the top of the Arc de Triomph today was quite a hike! From the top you can view all of Paris- Napoleon’s tomb, the Eiffel Tower, and Sacre Coeur. To wrap up the past couple days, last night we had a beautiful snowfall. A group of us took a metro ride to the Eiffel Tower to take pictures in the snow, as well as see the tower twinkle. The tower only twinkles for a few minutes each hour- and it is truly bright and breathtaking.
