Title: GIS in Action – Areas Lacking Broadband in Cecil County
Description: Cecil County Government has a problem. Over 2,500 of its residents and businesses lack high speed internet service. With decision makers lacking the tools to assist constituents in need, they turned to GIS to analyze the situation. What have Cecil County staff learned about broadband’s absence in rural areas? How can GIS analysis be used to solve this problem? Can other rural communities benefit from what Cecil staff have learned?
