FedGIS is 2nd largest (after Esri International User Conference, San Diego) conference for Esri. GIS professionals often referred to this conference as East Coast Esri User Conference. FedGIS is an annual conference and is always held in February. The conference is geared toward federal employees, hence it is located in Washington DC, but the content is applicable to all GIS professionals.
Attendees learn more about products, solutions, and services related to ArcGIS software. On the agenda – plenary sessions with Jack Dangermond (President and co-founder of Esri), as well as Esri exports showcasing advanced GIS technology and users best GIS implementations; technical workshops; Expo Center; hand-on learning center and networking. Lunches and refreshments are provided every day as part of the conference fee. Networking receptions are included as well: 2/13 reception (5:15-6:30pm) at the Expo Center and 2/14 reception (6:30-9:30pm) at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum (that’s right – a night at the museum!).
