- PURPOSEThe purpose of this policy is to govern the use of University computing resources by employees for home pages. This policy applies to all University full-time, part-time, and miscellaneous wages employees. The GENERAL POLICY STATEMENT is meant to help interpret, not supersede, existing University policies on academic freedom and responsible computing as they apply to employee home pages.
- GENERAL POLICY STATEMENTThe University’s computing resources are intended to enable the institution to carry out its responsibilities of education, research, and public service. Therefore, these functions have priority in using computing resources. Employees may have home pages for the purpose of publishing information in support of the University’s mission of education, research, and public service. Professional and salaried staff employees must have departmental authorization to create home pages.
