Today we boated to one of the local communities where we received a tour from the leader of the community. He explained a lot about their way of life and how it changes over time due location of the river. As we walked past the lodges he would pick off different fruits to try and other plants that provided dye and jewelry. While we were there they were preparing the community for an upcoming celebration for people from the local communities. After the tour was over and the chance to get souvenirs we played soccer versus the guides. After lunch in class we learned about Roberto Burle-Marx and sketching with tones and in one and two point perspective. Then the  rest of the students got to go piranha fishing. The students went to multiple different locations in hopes catching fish. Many piranhas and catfish were caught. In addition to the fish, the fishermen saw caimans and squirrel monkeys. Dinner was delicious with rice, beans, chicken and fish. Finally ended off the day with a night boat ride to see a lot more caiman, birds, and listen to the sounds of the amazon.
