To start off the day we woke up at precisely at 8:13am in order to get ready for our class where we learned all about the plants and their evolutional history in the united states as well as in brazil. After doing an activity outside making a story of what we see around us we continued class learning about the animals of the Brazilian area. Next was an activity focusing on a specific area then writing and sketching it to the best of our abilities. A little later we took a trip to downtown Manaus touring the city as we drove to the markets. Seeing all the markets had to offer we took off to the Opera house touring the entire place. Outside the opera house another activity once again sketching a few objects we wanted to see. Once back to the hotel and a little down time we watched a movie on an artist who used the materials around him outside to create very impressive sculptures. That led into dinner and wrapped up the end of the night and getting ready for the next four days deep in the amazon river.
