Scott Partridge is an assistant professor of applied linguistics at the University of Delaware who specializes in second language writing for a variety of specific academic disciplines and written genres. He has been working with college-aged English Language Learners since 1997.
He earned his MA in applied linguistics from the University of Arizona, where he focused on computer-assisted composition pedagogy, and did his PhD work at Purdue University on writing in the disciplines and reporting verbs using corpus linguistics.
Currently, Scott is the coordinator of the Freshman Composition (ENGL110) program at the ELI both in person and online.
