Insurance in Delaware – Know your Rights
Featuring Delaware Insurance Commissioner Trinidad Navarro
Insurance is essential risk management for farm operations of all types and sizes. The Delaware Department of Insurance is the authority on issues about insurance of all types, including liability, vehicles, property and casualty, life and health. One of their goals is to protect and inform consumers of their rights and options when it comes to insurance.
In this session, Insurance Commissioner Trinidad Navarro gives an overview of the range of responsibilities and functions performed by the Department of Insurance, including, but not limited to the following:
- Assuring the financial health and stability of insurance companies in Delaware.
- Protecting and advocating for consumers and informing them of their rights and options when it comes to insurance.
- Investigating allegations of insurance fraud in all lines of insurance as well as provider fraud (doctors, dentists, chiropractors, clinics, lawyers, etc.) and fraud perpetrated by the insurance companies and agents.
Delaware Farm Bureau is partnering with the Department of Insurance in presenting this session. Time will be reserved for questions and answers by attendees.
