There’s a lot of buzz surrounding the UN’s new IPCC Sixth Assessment Report, and for good reason.

Last week, NBC10 Philadelphia spoke to UD’s own Dr. A.R. Siders, an expert in climate change adaptation policy and a contributor to the report. In the interview, she explains, “We’re seeing the effects [of climate change] right now…This is hurting people and hurting ecosystems today.” We can all see and feel the reality of increasing temperatures, hurricanes, floods, drought, wildfires, and other threats. Dr. Siders says that a big takeaway from the report is understanding the extent of this present-day impact. Understanding current effects and future predictions in the report can show us why we need to take action and help us adapt to a changing world.
