Chief Diversity Officer
The Chief Diversity Officer will be a leader, adviser, advocate, catalyst for change and institutional resource focused on infusing diversity, equity and inclusion into all programs and activities, tracking progress toward these goals and communicating progress to an engaged community. Moreover, the CDO will exercise strategic expertise, knowledge of the domain, and lead by collaboration to partner with the University of Delaware’s community in its desire to continue to increase its diversity while continually evolving to be more inclusive and equitable.
The CDO oversees and provides executive direction to the following areas: diversity education, assessment and outreach; institutional equity and compliance; academic diversity initiatives; faculty recruitment and development; the Center for the Study of Diversity and chief diversity advocates. The CDO also has dotted line oversight of the student diversity and inclusion director, assistant dean for diversity and inclusion (Graduate College), director for pre-college programs and supplier diversity.

Chief Diversity Officer Search Advisory Committee
Co-chairing the search advisory committee for this position are Laure Ergin, Vice President and General Counsel, and Levi Thompson, Dean of the College of Engineering and Elizabeth Inez Kelley Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering.
