Lauren Irwin, MS Student
Lauren received her bachelors at the University of Kentucky in Equine Science and Management with minors in Plant Science and Distillation, Wine, and Brewing Sciences. As an undergraduate, she worked in two departments – forage extension (working in pasture evaluation) and the horticulture department (working with nematode research and high tunnels). In her MS degree Lauren will be working with root-knot nematodes in lima bean and soybean. Her project will investigate the role of soil electroconductivity in predicting nematode field distribution and optimizing management approaches.
