I just learned about an awesome tool that has apparently been around for at least 3 years! It’s another undocumented Canvas gem. Provides super-easy access to anything (?) you can do with the Canvas API. I mean, ridiculous.

This tool is similar to the /undelete link I blogged about on June 9th. To use it, you have to know the url. In this case, the secret sauce is to add /doc/api/live to the end of your canvas domain, so in my case https://udel.instructure.com/doc/api/live. Go there, and you can read all about the api endpoints. Better yet, go there with an access token in your clipboard, and you can use them!

I’m assuming this works for anyone, but with the understanding that the API won’t give you anything that doesn’t belong to you. A lot of those endpoints aren’t going to work for an instructor, much less a student. Still, even students would have plenty to choose from.
