Dr. Alex Huddell (she/her) is Assistant Professor of Agroecology/Sustainable Crop Production Systems at the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences at the University of Delaware. She holds a Ph.D. in Ecology from Columbia University and B.A.s in Economics and International Studies from American University. Link to Google Scholar.

Abe Mololuwa Oluwatoba – M.S. Student
Mololuwa was born and raised in Nigeria. He received his B.S degree in Soil Science and Land Management from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. He has extensive experience as an agronomist. In the Fall of 2024, he joined the UD Agroecology Lab to start his MS program. His research investigates the trends and causes of dissolved organic nitrogen (DON) losses and the extent to which these losses are connected across an ecological gradient.

Dylan Brown– M.S. Student
Dylan graduated from Washington College in May 2024 with a B.S. in Environmental Science and minor(s) in Economics & Hispanic Studies. He is a 6th generation farmer & cattle producer on his family’s operation in Southern Maryland. His masters research is primarily investigating Soil Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Fluxes in Perennial & Annual Forage Systems under Livestock Grazing Management.

Cody - PhD Student
Cody began doctoral studies in Plant and Soil Science at the University of Delaware in June 2025. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Rangeland Ecology with a concentration in Conservation and Management from Colorado State University in May 2019. He received a Master of Science in Agriculture, Environmental and Sustainability Sciences from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in May 2025. His professional experience includes diverse agricultural roles across the United States, France, and Costa Rica.

Mikaela (she/her) - Master's student
Mikaela grew up in Iowa and received her B.S. in Environmental Science from Iowa State University. Since graduating she has spent the last few years helping with rare plant conservation practices in and around Las Vegas Nevada. Her research in Delaware is centered around GHG exchange and N2O flux in a perennial grain crop system.

Abby Reeves– PhD Student
Abby is a PhD student and Farm Manager at the UD Fresh-2-U organic farm. Abby's research focuses on the use of cover crops in market garden systems for weed control and nutrient management and organic management techniques for a perennial grain crop.

Asritha Polu - Data Science Collaborator
Asritha is a second-year master's student in Data Science at the University of Delaware, with two years of professional experience in the software industry. Currently, she is working on a project automating processes for handling soil GHG data, focusing on quality assurance, data flagging.
