Mansi Gupta

President

I’m Mansi Gupta, your go-to BAIM President at the University of Delaware. Before my current role on campus, I was a founding team member of a health tech startup, contributing to the successful launch of the innovative “EYVA” at CES 2022 in Las Vegas. Presently, I hold the position of Sedona tool manager at the Lerner Dean’s office and work as a marketing specialist for a healthcare analytics startup through the Office of Economic Innovation & Partnerships at the University of Delaware. My professional journey is fueled by my profound love for products, innovation, and analytics, setting the stage for my envisioned role as a product manager post-graduation.

Beyond the hustle, catch me chasing adventures, watching documentaries, traveling, cooking, and passionately cheering for my football & F1 squad. Fun fact: since I landed in August, I’ve explored 7 states in the USA!

Peter Gachuka Ndagi

Vice President(Event Planning)

Peter Ndagi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business & Management with a specialization in Accounting from Kisii University, Kenya. His leadership journey began as an executive member of the Kisii University Student Council, where his dedication earned him the title of the 2nd most influential university student leader in Kenya in 2014, according to Kenyayote.com.

He has over 8 years of experience in management and business analytics, during which Peter has made significant contributions to companies such as Data Rush Courier Services and Strathmore Business School. Currently, he works part-time at The Office of Laboratory Animal Medicine (OLAM) at the University of Delaware, a center dedicated to the care and well-being of research animals.

In his role as the BAIM Vice President (Event Planning), Peter’s primary goal is to encourage active student engagement in association events. He is committed to creating an inclusive environment where students actively shape the events conducted by the association. In this role, he emphasizes the importance of student input in decision-making processes, ensuring that their voices are heard and valued.

Peter’s hobbies include community service, research, and pet keeping.

Winfred Kwasi Amewonor-Etsey

Vice President (Operations)

I am Winfred Kwasi Amewonor-Etsey, proudly serving as the Vice President of Operations with the BAIM GSA. My educational journey includes an undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, coupled with a Master’s in Finance, attesting to my commitment to continuous learning and expertise in financial matters. I have previously worked in the banking industry, working with one of the international banks in Ghana. I currently work as a Graduate Admissions Assistant with the Graduate admissions office on a part-time basis.

Beyond the professional and educational sphere, I am an avid sports enthusiast, with a particular penchant for soccer, football, and basketball. As a dedicated sportsperson, I not only enjoy watching these thrilling matches but actively participate in soccer games to maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle. I also co-host the “Voice of Africa” show on WVUD 91.3 FM. This platform allows me to contribute to the diverse cultural tapestry while fostering meaningful conversations that resonate with our audience as well as treat listeners to amazing music from the African continent.

In my capacity as VP-Operations, my mission is to ensure that every BAIM student receives the support they need to ascend to professional heights. I will achieve this goal by orchestrating impactful events that provide tangible benefits to our student community. Together, we strive to elevate each individual, paving the way for collective success and achievement.

I am enthusiastic about the opportunities for growth and collaboration within BAIM GSA, and I look forward to contributing my skills and passion to our shared journey of excellence.

Obianuju Olivia Okosieme

Marketing Manager

My name is Obianuju Okosieme, most people call me Uju. I’m the Marketing Manager for the BAIM GSA and I have a background in social media.

Before beginning my program at UD, I worked in several media companies and I currently work part-time as a Graduate Assistant for the College of Engineering Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs.

When I’m not working or studying, I find joy in watching movies and making amazing meals. I also manage a movie review site on the side. As the Marketing Manager for the BAIM GSA, I intend to promote the activities of the association, weave a strong network for BAIM students, and create lasting connections.

Sannidhi Patil

Deputy Marketing Manager

I’m Sannidhi Patil, known to many as Sanni. Holding the position of Deputy Marketing Manager at the BAIM Graduate Students Association, I bring a background in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, having previously worked as a Quality Engineer at Accenture in India. Currently, I contribute to education as a substitute teacher at ELC. Beyond the world of academia and work, I find joy in the rhythm of dance, the exploration of new places through travel, and expressing myself through the strokes of a paintbrush. 

My goal is to ensure that every BAIM student is well-informed about the exciting activities and events through effective promotion. Let’s make every initiative a resounding success for BAIM! Looking forward to a journey filled with creativity, collaboration, and memorable moments.

Dominic Muriungi

Treasurer

My name is Dominic Muriungi and I’m humbly serving as the Treasurer to the BAIM GSA. My background is in data analytics. I have 4 years of analytics experience working in a major investment bank in Kenya and at the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics.

Outside the busy school schedule, I enjoy listening to music and watching soccer. I have a passion for music and love playing the piano. I hope to learn two more instruments. As the BAIM GSA Treasurer, I plan to ensure transparent and accountable use of the association’s funds. I  intend to ensure the financial stability of the association through efficient management of the available funds for the benefit of BAIM students.

Pascale Mwavaga

Content Writer

My name is Pascale Mwavaga, serving as the Content Writer for BAIM GSA. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Computer Science. Over the past decade, I’ve cultivated expertise as an SAP ERP consultant, specializing in the implementation and support of ERP systems. My focus has predominantly been on tailoring SAP products to meet the specific needs of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises.

Currently, I am completing one year as a CMMS Assistant at the University of Delaware – FREAS Department. This role aligns seamlessly with my commitment to staying abreast of new technologies. In the Fall 2023 semester, I had the privilege of serving as a Graduate Assistant, an experience that deepened my respect for the teaching profession.

Outside of work, I indulge my inquisitive nature by immersing myself in podcasts, particularly those within the True Crime genre. Additionally, I find great pleasure in watching historical documentaries, as history, in my view, stands as the greatest storyteller.

In my capacity as the content writer, my objective is to curate captivating content that showcases the remarkable achievements and experiences of BAIM graduate students, faculty, and alumni. I hope to create a legacy that transcends my time in this role.

Shashank Chaitanya

Social Media Manager

My name is Shashank Chaitanya, and I serve as the social media manager for BAIM GSA. I’m an Electrical and Electronics Engineering Bachelor’s degree holder. I have worked in media strategy, analytics, and technical operations for the past 5.5 years. 

I enjoy going on trips, cooking, gardening, and fitness. My goal as a member of BAIM GSA is to assist both prospective and current BAIM students in keeping up with activities that support their professional development.

Ruchiitaa Vijay Chavaan

Deputy Social Media Manager

I’m Ruchiitaa Vijay Chavaan, your Deputy Social Media Manager at BAIM GSA. Before joining the vibrant community here at the University of Delaware, I was chasing my dreams as a Production Manager in India, my home country. The journey from there to here has been filled with aspirations, milestones, and a determination to elevate my career.

Choosing the University of Delaware was a no-brainer for me. It’s a place that not only values diversity and inclusion but actively encourages the upliftment of every individual. The campus atmosphere resonates with the spirit of growth, making it the perfect breeding ground for ambitious minds like ours.

Beyond my professional pursuits, I harbor a strong desire to become a successful entrepreneur in the years to come. This dream got a significant push when I received the ‘Entrepreneurship Development’ award from the Maharashtra Government. It’s these recognitions and experiences that fuel my belief that I’m on the right path to achieving greater heights.

During my downtime, you’ll find me indulging in my favorite pastimes – watching movies, hanging out with friends, and exploring the diverse landscapes and cultures of the USA. The excitement of discovering new facets of this country is something I can’t get enough of!

Andrea Everard

BAIM GSA Faculty Advisor

Director of the MS in Business Analytics and Information Management Program

Professor Andrea Everard is the Director of the MS in Business Analytics and Information Management (BAIM) program and the faculty advisor for the new BAIM Graduate Student Association (BAIM GSA). Dr. Everard, is a Professor of Management Information Systems and the Associate Dean for Undergraduate programs in the Lerner College of Business and Economics. She completed a Bachelor in English Studies at the Université de Montréal, a Bachelor of Commerce in International Business and a Master of Science in Management Information Systems at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. She earned her PhD in Management Information Systems from the University of Pittsburgh and joined the faculty at the University of Delaware in 2003.

Professor Everard teaches undergraduate and graduate Management Information Systems. Her courses focus primarily on the management of and strategic use of information technology and information systems in organizations.

Her research interests are human-computer interaction, cross-cultural and gender issues in information systems as well as MIS curriculum and education issues. Journals in which her work appears include Journal of Management Information Systems (JMIS), Information Systems Journal (ISJ), Communications for the Association of Computing Machinery (CACM), Communications of the Association for Information Systems (CAIS), and Journal of Global Information Technology Management (JGITM).
