Final Week in Sydney, Australia

Submitted by Andrew Saul on the 2015 summer session internship program in Sydney, Australia sponsored by the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics

I can’t believe I’m typing this, but my final week in Australia has arrived.  Words cannot express how grateful I am for this once in a lifetime experience to work and explore in a foreign country like I have done for the past two months.  I have met some amazing people from the U.S. and from all over the world. I’ve done things I’d never thought I’d do like snorkel on the Great Barrier Reef.  Working at United Technologies was very rewarding and I certainly learned a lot about working in an office environment.  The easy part is over.  The hard part will be readjusting to life back home in the suburbs of New Jersey.  I have gotten very used to the hustle and bustle of Sydney and being able to get on a bus or train to explore new places whenever I want.  I hope that when I get back to the University of Delaware for my final year of college, I can let more people know about this amazing experience so instead of two people going to Sydney next summer there can be twenty.
