Connection is cultivating the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued. (Dr. Brené Brown)
Building social networks at work has ties to happy, healthy, and productive teams. Research has shown that having solid connections and relationships is strongly linked to a high level of wellbeing.
EHW’s Connection Resources
Introducing: Team Employee Health & Wellbeing Connect!
Employee Health and Wellbeing has a new way for employees to stay engaged, not only with our programs, but with each other! By joining EHW Connect, you will be able to talk to us and your colleagues in real time. Various channels including Fitness classes, Walktober, and Breaking Bread in Unity allow you to have conversations about the programs you love, with those who love it too! Join us to build your connections and social network.
Water Cooler Chats
It’s safe to say we all miss the opportunity to pop over to a colleagues desk and ask how their weekend was, share a photo of your new dog, or tell them about the new trail you found. Water Cooler Conversations allow us to continue to build connections with colleagues across UD in a remote setting. Each week, a chat will be hosted around a specific non-work related topic. Join us to see some friendly faces and make new connections. Learn more here.
That’s Interesting: Behind the Scenes at UD
Our hit series from the summer returns! This fall, we will get the chance to talk to some our favorite “behind the scenes” employees at UD to hear how they keep UD running! These curiosity-sparked conversations are sure to provide you with fun facts and a greater appreciation for our colleagues on campus. Learn more here.
UD’s Connection Resources
Working at UD
Working at UD is your source for all things employee-related at UD. Employee Health & Wellbeing, Human Resources, Development and Alumni Relations, the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation Services, and the Office of Equity and Inclusion have joined forces to provide a centralized resource for what you need to know as an employee. Visit the Working at UD webpage to learn about what is happening around campus.
#WorkingAtUD knows how much the students and being on campus mean to you. Having to leave campus and switch gears to working from home hasn’t been easy. The struggle is real, and we are with you. Your input is needed. Please share your feedback by Dec. 18 and someone from the Human Resources team will reach out at their earliest convenience. Thank you!
