Availability of Personal Protective Equipment for Pesticide Applicators

Due to the COVID-19/Coronavirus pandemic, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will likely be in short supply, especially in the next few months. EPA has indicated that label PPE requirements will remain as the legal requirement for pesticide applicators. Conversations are taking place on a national level to help identify options. However, it would best for growers to determine their PPE needs and start early to order necessary supplies. There is also and effort underway to outline guidance and suggestions for options. The goal is to have this information available in the very near future. As always, the pesticide label provides the best guidance.
