Biography

A headshot of Victoria Sunnergren on the University of Delaware campusVictoria Sunnergren is the Associate Curator of Native American Art at Shelburne Museum. She is also a doctoral candidate and Andrew W. Mellon Fellow in the Curatorial-Track Ph.D. Program in Art History at the University of Delaware (UD). Her dissertation looks at gender in historic and contemporary Pueblo pottery, and her broader research interests focus on Indigenous art of North America, material culture studies, and digital humanities. She curated Built from the Earth: Pueblo Pottery from the Anthony and Teressa Perry Collection at Shelburne Museum, on view June 24 – Oct 22, 2023.
