As Controller, Amy provides leadership to a team charged with direct oversight for general and investment accounting functions, management of the University’s general ledger, monthly and fiscal year end closes, endowment and temporary investment income distributions, financial business processes and reporting, external audit functions, debt accounting, state appropriation draw-downs and reporting, and asset capitalization and depreciation. Amy joined the University in Facilities Planning & Construction with responsibility for facilities accounting, administration and contract management, before serving as Collection and Account Services Manager for student accounts in Billing and Collection. In 2002 she joined the Controller’s Office, serving as Assistant Controller until her promotion to Controller in 2008. Prior to joining the University, Amy spent four years in public accounting at a regional CPA firm in West Chester, PA. She is a CPA and has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Delaware.

As Director of Payroll, Younes is responsible for ensuring that the Payroll Office provides University employees with excellent customer service through accurate and timely preparation, processing, and distribution of all University payrolls. The Payrolll Office is also responsible for University compliance with all rules and regulations pertaining to and/or resulting from payroll. He has been at the University of Delaware in various capacities, including OISS and HR, for 7 years. He has a earned a Masters in Statistics from the University of Delaware.

Sondra has oversight of all University cash collection activities with her principle responsibility being the banking and booking of all incoming student and non-student receivables as well as the University’s Cash Transmittal business. In addition, her team generates all centralized non-student invoices and manages the collection activities of student and non-student receivables. Over the course of several years, with JPMorgan Chase, Sondra worked in both Treasury and Investment Banking before joining the University in 2008. Prior to her time in banking, she spent several years in the accounting field, holding positions such as Cost Accountant and Accounting Manager in both the for-profit and non-profit industries. She holds an associate’s degree in Accounting from Goldey-Beacom College and a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Phoenix.

As Director of Risk Management, Ike provides direction and oversight of the University’s Risk Management program, including all property and casualty insurance and student/athletic health and accident programs. He also coordinates the University's Enterprise Risk Management initiative. Ike holds a BS in Industrial Technology from the College of Engineering at Southern Illinois University and an MBA from Wagner College in Staten Island, NY. Ike also holds the designation of Associate in Risk Management (ARM) from The Institutes.

Augie Maurelli, Assistant Vice President for Analysis & Operations is responsible for the University of Delaware’s Debt portfolio, Treasury Operations, Cash Management, Procurement Services and Accounts Payables operations. In addition, the UD finance department’s day to day operations including budget, human resources, and IT initiatives all reside under his oversight and leadership. As a senior member of the University’s financial leadership team, Augie also participates in the development of long range financial planning models and due diligence of strategic corporate partnerships.
Augie earned his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University in 1997 and earned a master’s degree in Business Administration – Finance from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business in 2002. Augie has a unique blend of higher education and private sector experience, having worked in project finance at Johnson Controls as well as within the capital markets at Goldman Sachs in New York and MCG Capital in Washington, DC. Augie spent seven years in various administrative roles at Georgetown University before originally joining the University of Delaware as a Senior Associate Athletic Director and Department CFO in 2010.
Augie currently resides in Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania with his wife Kristen Hamilton-Maurelli and sons Nicholas Kane Maurelli and Alexander Jase Maurelli.

Ronald Taxin has been the Tax Director at the University of Delaware since January 2014. His responsibilities include providing tax planning and compliance services as well as resolving conflicts with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), as well as state and local taxing agencies on behalf of the university.
Ron is a member of the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) and the Eastern Association of College and University Business Officers (EACUBO). Before joining the University, Ron spent more than 25 years with international public accounting firms, specializing in nonprofit organizations, particularly in the higher education and healthcare industries. Ron was an adjunct lecturer at Temple University Graduate Business Program.
Ron graduated from Lehigh University, with a B.S. in accounting/ finance, JD from the University of San Francisco School of Law and LL.M. (Tax) from Temple University School of Law. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar.
