PERKINS STUDENT CENTER
Perkins is the University of Delaware’s original student union and the larger of our two USC facilities. Perkins is home to the West and East lounges, the versatile Rodney Room, Bacchus theater and a diverse collection of intimate meeting spaces.
The West Lounge is an attractive and spirited space with a full wall of glass windows overlooking academy street. Flexible furnishings can be rearranged to create rows or groups of seating, or can be cleared for more formal setups. This space features a built-in stage with professional lighting, projection, and a high quality sound system.
The Bacchus Theater is a favorite for intimate performances from UD’s improv and theater groups. The room has no fixed seating, so it can be set with tables and chairs, or left empty to match the function of the event. A standard lecture style is shown.
015R is one of Perkins’ meeting rooms, situated on the lower level amid the bustling Registered Student Organization community. With permanent seating for 12, a whiteboard and a brand new digital projector, 015R is the perfect space for meetings and brainstorming sessions.
The Ewing Room is located near the parking garage entrance to the building, and is convenient when inviting guests who will be driving in to campus. The room is well-suited for groups of 40-80, and has projection available for rental. A classroom style setup is pictured.
The Rodney Room is the largest available private space in Perkins, and is equipped with projection and a sound system to assist with large gatherings of up to 288 guests. A round table setup is pictured.
TRABANT UNIVERSITY CENTER
Trabant is an iconic neon fixture on Central Campus and the newer of our two USC facilities. Trabant is home to the new Trabant Lounge, the adaptable Multipurpose rooms, the gorgeous Daugherty Hall and a wide array of smaller meeting spaces.
The Trabant Lounge is an intimate and unique space at the heart of Trabant, sitting at the intersection of the main thoroughfares. The room functions as a casual lounge for the UD Community during the day, and is easily converted in the evenings and weekends to accommodate lectures, presentations, or small performances. A built-in stage with lighting, projection, and amplified sound are available for rental in the space. Formal lecture seating is pictured.
The Trabant Theater is a formal and private space on the lower level of Trabant, perfect for film-screenings, guest speakers, and presentations. The space features tiered seating for 288 guests, and is equipped with a high-powered powered projector and sound system with dynamic ceiling light controls.
Room 209/211 is a flexible space that is well suited for groups of 40-80. The room has projection available for rental and has windows overlooking the Trabant Food Court and College Avenue, with dynamic ceiling lighting controls to find the right balance for presentations. A U-Shape setup is pictured.
Room 223 is representative of a handful of meeting rooms on the second floor of Trabant, which can be set with tables and chairs to accommodate a variety of meetings, workshops, or group practices.
