Madelyn Nazelrod

Hello, everyone! My name is Madelyn Nazelrod (she/they), and I am so excited to start my Sophomore year as a Peer Mentor! I am from Prince George’s County, Maryland. Here at UD, I am part of the Honors College and recently began majoring in Environmental Science with a Marine Science Concentration and pursuing an Art minor. I originally enrolled as an Undecided but my experiences in the first semester helped me quickly realize the path I wanted to take. Although academics are a big part of my life, I do have other interests. I participate in a few of the environmental clubs here on campus like the Earth, Ocean, and Environment Club. I am a proud supporter of all of the events hosted by the Center for Black Culture, the Black Student Union, and Cultural Programming Advisory Board. Outside of UD, I am an avid reader, gym goer, and Netflix enthusiast. Joining QUEST was one of the best decisions I made, from the friends that I met to the skills that I learned. I am happy to be a part of your QUEST experience and look forward to meeting you all!

Jasmin Bioteau

Hi everyone! My name is Jasmin Bioteau (she/her/hers) and I am from Abington, Pennsylvania, which is about one hour from UD. I am an honors sophomore chemistry major and I have a Spanish minor. On campus I am involved in American Chemical Society (ACS), University of Delaware Alternative Breaks club (UDaB), Volunteers Without Borders, and, of course, BHLP. My favorite pastimes are reading, running, and spending an absurd amount of time eating dinner in CR with my friends. BHLP has been a great experience for me. I met some of my best friends through Quest. I am excited to meet you all and watch you grow as leaders!

Jalen Rogers

Hi Everyone! My name is Jalen Rogers (she/her/hers) and I am a junior Political Science major with minors in Public Policy and Economics. Growing up in Dover, Delaware, I’ve garnered a passion for politics which led me to pursue the 4+1 program for a Master of Public Administration. I am involved in a wide-range of organizations across campus, including BHLP Tier 3, College Republicans, TPUSA, and Greek life. During my free time, I enjoy going camping, watching movies, reading realistic fiction or fantasy novels, and enjoying the company of friends and family. QUEST granted me connections to people and opportunities that have enabled me to get to where I am today. The program helped me learn a lot about myself, while introducing me to some amazing people. I am so excited to meet you and see all that you will accomplish in your time here at UD!

Damon Peruso

Hey everyone, my name is Damon Peruso (he/him/his) and I am a junior Organizational and Community Leadership major with minors in Social Entrepreneurship and Anthropology. I am originally from Edgewater, NJ, and am so excited to be a Peer Mentor this year! Outside of the classroom, you can usually find me throwing a frisbee somewhere on campus, as I spend most of my free time playing on the Club Ultimate Frisbee team at UD. My time in BHLP has been nothing short of spectacular. This program has allowed me to meet and develop so many wonderful relationships, and experience amazing opportunities that can be offered nowhere else. I attribute this program to a major part of the person I am today. I will be involved with Tier 3 this upcoming semester, and I am so excited to create amazing memories with you all over the course of QUEST!

Mackenzie Dabbs

Hi everyone!! My name is Mackenzie Dabbs (she/her/hers) and I am an upcoming Junior Nursing major from Ellicott City, Maryland. On campus, I am on the executive board of my social sorority, Alpha Delta Pi, I am part of the Student Nurses Organization, and am in Tier 3 of the Blue Hen Leadership Program! When not focusing on school, I enjoy spending time with friends, working out, listening to music, and especially going to the beach. QUEST truly helped me have such a smooth transition into college and build great relationships. I was able to learn so much about my leadership strengths and the qualities I value in life. I am so excited to be a returning Peer Mentor and to help create a great experience for all of you!

Brian Chansky

Hi! My name is Brian Chansky (he/him/his) and I am a junior Marine Science major with a minor in  from Framingham, MA. Other than participating in BHLP Tier 3, I also serve as a UD Student Alumni Ambassador, and am a member of the Men’s Club Volleyball team. When I’m not busy with classes or one of my clubs, you can probably find me playing frisbee, spikeball, or volleyball on the Harrington Turf. Outside of UD, I love to spend my time outside, listening to music, playing sports, and taking spontaneous beach trips! Joining QUEST was the best decision I made since I decided to come to UD, since it allowed me to connect with campus before coming while also developing my leadership skills, and I can’t wait to help provide the same experience for you!
