The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) is hiring a full-time writer/editor, who is responsible for researching and writing a variety of internal and external communication materials, such as employee messages, editorials, marketing pieces, website copy, speeches and feature articles for the Outdoor Delaware online magazine, de.gov/outdoordelaware.
The position requires collaboration with the Public Affairs team, as well as subject-matter experts across the Department. The writer/editor will work closely with the in-house graphic designer, photographer, videographer, webmaster and other professionals. The position will plan and develop promotional strategies and materials to increase engagement and reach; evaluate performance. This position is available for hybrid work, which requires the professional reside within commuting distance to be in the office on scheduled days each week.
