POSITION TITLE: AGcelerate Intern
THE AGCELERATE ENRICHMENT PROGRAM: The AGcelerate Enrichment Program offers academic tutoring, peer mentoring, faculty networking, career and internship exploration, activities, and other tailored support to CANR students. This program is targeted to underrepresented (minority, first generation, financial need) student populations, but all students are welcome to participate.
DUTIES: The AGcelerate Intern will assist AGcelerate Graduate Coordinator with developing and implementing the AGcelerate Enrichment Program. The intern’s primary duties will focus on communication including sending out weekly email updates and assisting with development of printed and web-based program materials including developing, updating and sending out a newsletter. Other tasks may include making flyers, attending AGcelerate events, and giveaway inspiration. Attendance at bi-weekly AGcelerate leadership meetings is required.
HOURS: This commitment is throughout the 2022-2023 academic year with a minimum requirement of 5 hours per week. Tasks will not exceed the maximum of 15 hours, hours are flexible.
REQUIREMENTS: Rising sophomores, junior, or senior undergraduates OR graduate students in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Minimum 3.0 GPA.
COMPENSATION: $12.36 / hr
