Job Title: Assistant Gardener
Job Type: Full-time, Seasonal
Salary: $16-18 depending on experience
The Assistant Gardener’s responsibilities include:
- Annual flower installation and maintenance (beds and containers)
- Installation and maintenance of herbaceous and woody plants
- Mulching, weeding, and pruning
- Composting
- Assisting with integrated pest management
Job Requirements:
Work both as a team member or independently, do physical work including bending, stooping, climbing a ladder, be able to lift 50 lbs., and work in varying weather conditions (heat and light rain). The work schedule includes some weekends during the peak season, and exposure to biting insects and poison ivy can occur. A degree in horticulture, landscape design, or work experience in this area is a benefit.

Aronimink Golf Club is a private country club located in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. It ranks as one of the top one hundred courses in the United States, and has hosted seven major tournaments. The grounds are comprised of 300 acres including a historic clubhouse, tennis and fitness center, and pool house. The Greens department, which oversees the course and landscaped areas, is housed in a newly designed, state of the art, facility.
