Wildlife Biology Intern Postition

The Student Conservation Association’s Career Discovery Program is recruiting for two summer interns to work at our Refuge late May-August 2016.  Our Refuge is located ~2 hours west of Chicago. For more information, please visit http://www.thesca.org/cdip

One intern will be in the Wildlife Biology series, and the other will serve as a Park Ranger working with Visitor Services. These positions are paid, housing and travel is also covered. Interns are paired with a FWS mentor, along with professional development activities throughout the summer.

The ideal candidate is:

  • Available for a 12-13 week summer internship beginning in May
  • Open-minded and has an adventurous spirit
  • Not necessarily experienced in conservation
  • Eager to act as an ambassador for SCA and the FWS
  • A licensed driver
  • Able to provide references with an application
