As we pass the midpoint of the summer and get closer to fall, don’t wait to save the digital content you need from Sakai. Your last day for access to Sakai is December 21, 2018 and Fall 2018 is the last term you can teach with Sakai. The Transition to Canvas (T2C) team has been busy working with faculty all over campus to migrate their Sakai courses to Canvas and helping them make the adjustment to a new learning management system. We are in the last week of the T2C Summer College Campus tour with stops on July 17th in Memorial Hall, July 18th in Lerner, and on July 19th at STAR.

In August, more workshops will be offered during our Keep Calm and Teach On (KCTO) event. There is a new Canvas Lite session which will give you an overview of Canvas and the features and tools it offers, two sessions of our popular Up & Running with Canvas which gets you started working in one of your courses. There will be sessions focused on the Speedgrader tool, Assignment options you may want to take advantage of, and some Canvas Extras. Or consider joining us for a drop-in clinic all day on Friday, August 17th where staff will be available for support.

There is still time to get one-on-one consultations face-to-face and virtually. If a department or group would like to have us give a customized workshop, don’t hesitate to let us know.

Information on the T2C Summer College Campus tour, upcoming KCTO sessions, or how to schedule a consultation can be found at the T2C website.

Don’t wait till it’s too late! Use these last weeks of summer to move away from Sakai and onto Canvas!
