The University of Delaware is committed to ensuring that people with disabilities have opportunities equal to those of their non-disabled peers to participate in and benefit from the University’s programs and services. This commitment applies to digital resources, including online resources that support student learning.

The University has established a web accessibility initiative to develop standards, policies, tools, and educational programming to help University faculty and staff present all existing and future digital content so that it is accessible to all.

In each T2C newsletter, we will include information about publishing course content that complies with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the American with Disabilities Act of 1990, and other federal laws and regulations about the accessibility of online information.

For an overview of these issues, watch WC3’s short video introduction to web accessibility.
