Bridgeville Mustangsreported by Jenna Anger
Bridgeville Mustangs 4-H LogoAt our May 16 meeting, the Mustangs had guest speakers tell us all about essential oils.  Oils can be used for insect repellant, soothe stomach pain,  relieve headaches, help you to relax, clean fruits and vegetables, and antiseptic for cuts just to name a few.  Our members mixed two oils to make an antiseptic spray to take home.  It will come in handy this summer while we enjoy the outdoors.  Congratulations to Tanner, Ryan, C.J., Jenna, Carson, Meredith and Erin for participating in the County Demonstration Contest.  Great Job!!!  Mustangs will be well represented at the Delaware State Fair!!  On June  2, the Mustangs will hold their annual Chicken BBQ Fundraiser.  It is held at the Kiwanis BBQ at the corner of Routes 404 & 36.  Come support the Mustangs and get the best chicken around, cooked by 4-H’s own Tom Carey.

Looking forward to June– Many of our members are attending State 4-H Camp for the first time.  Hope they have a blast and bring back many fun memories.  The Consumer Bowl teams are hard at work preparing for the state competition.  Our project groups are working on fair entries, practicing archery skills, studying for Horticulture Judging, and a fun night “grilling” with the food group.  Hope everyone has a great summer and see you at the Fair!!!
