Thirty-nine young chefs and bakers traveled to the Bridgeville Fire Hall on Saturday, April 9, carrying a prepared recipe and place setting. All were excited to showcase their foods knowledge and cooking skills. Each contestant was interviewed by a judge who had critiqued their recipe and menu in advance. Judges sample, evaluate the prepared dish and award a ribbon to each participant. Division winners have been selected and are listed below. Cloverbud winners received a ribbon, certificate and spatula. General age group winners will receive a mini waffle maker sponsored by the Delaware 4-H Foundation and a trophy sponsored by the Argo family in memory of Mary Argo. All participants received a 2022 Favorite Foods Recipe Book and a ribbon.
