State 4-H Camp Scholarship
Sussex County 4-H will have scholarship money available to award to 4-H members who are interested in attending State 4-H Camp. These scholarships will be awarded based on financial need, 4-H participation, etc. The application below will be due into the County Office by Friday, January 17, 2020. We will make every effort to notify you as soon as possible about scholarships to be awarded.

Betty Jestice – State 4-H Camp Scholarship
The Betty Jestice Scholarship is sponsored by the Mrs. Carole Vincent and Family in memory of Betty Jestice, former Delaware 4-H member and Leader. Betty was a 4-H leader with the Sycamore 4-H Club in Laurel, Delaware. This scholarship is awarded to a younger 4-H member, 8-13 years of age, planning to attend Delaware 4-H State Camp. Applicants may choose to attend the Environmental Camp or State Camp.
To apply for this scholarship there are two steps:
- The 4-H member completes the Delaware 4-H State Camp Scholarship form
- The 4-H member writes a letter stating why they would like to attend a Delaware
4-H Camp.

Dennis Schirmer Memorial Scholarship
If your 4-H member has been active in 4-H for the current 2019-2020 year, we are able to offer full or partial scholarships from the generous donations that were given in Memory of Dennis Schirmer. If you are interested in scholarship funds, please write a letter stating what 4-H activities you have been involved in this year as well as why you would like to attend State Camp. Please email these letters to Jill Jackson (jackson@udel.edu) by Friday, January 17, 2020.
